The Levels Of Skiing

A skiing ability level is a short way of classifying skiers based on what they ski, their skiing ability, and how well they ski beginner, intermediate, or advanced trails. Lessons are available for every level and teach a variety of skills for your ski holidays.

Beginner

You will first learn the basics important to learn the basics of skiing on firm ground before descending down a mountain. Beginners learn how to stand and how to stop. In using the snowplow, you simply do a crossbow and press the tips of the skis closer together. This level is usually on green slopes.

Advanced

You begin to practice more on the slopes. Learning turning, speed control, keeping your skis parallel, and riding the edges of your skis. You will learn glade, steep, and mogul skiing. This level is usually on blue slopes.

Intermediate

As you progress, you will learn more advanced skills such as traversing, pole touches, parallel turns, and slide slips. This will move you to the more advanced slopes like black and possibly even doing moguls and bowls.

Expert

Expert skiers enjoy the challenge of even more difficult ski trails and ski moguls, steeps, and advanced black diamond terrains.

As you move through the levels, your ability to attempt different slopes, terrains, and skills will get easier.
